Hi, Steve here. It's no secret that I'm a bit of a weather geek. In the winter, when I'm not skiing or working or hanging out with the family I'm probably checking out the latest forecast so I can plan my next powder day. The last couple winters haven't produced an abundance of snow, but maybe this year is the year.

If you're a local or you're planning to head to Reno-Tahoe for a ski trip, hopefully you can get some useful information from this site.

Current Conditions

The curent weather conditions are delivered from a Oregon Scientific WMR 968 weather station. I've recently upgraded from a LaCrosse weather station. I do not recommend the LaCrosse but the Oregon Scientific seems fine so far. The data is uploaded to WeatherUndergound using a fabulous freeware application called FreeWX-Wi.
